Lecturing

I have been lecturing since 1993, first teaching Art History at Newcastle College, where I also ran the part-time degree in Fine Art (franchised from the University of Sunderland) from 1996 - 2000. I was then appointed Section Leader (Head of Department) for Fine Art and Art and Design.

In 2003 I left Newcastle College to re-establish the Foundation Course in Art and Design as Programme Leader at the University of Sunderland. I am now Reader in Fine Art. Over the years we have had some terrific students and our results have always been at least 50% above the national benchmark. For more details click more information below

I am privaleged to teach on a course that is always stimulating - Foundation students are full of life, creativity and optimism! I am also fortunate to work with a brilliant team of staff, including Joe Woodhouse (Programme Leader), Adam Phillips, Natalie Gale, Tom Madge and Tony Wiles.
